This table presents data on people living in households below 60 per cent of median income after housing costs by population group (all individuals, children, working-age adults and pensioners).

Figures shown are for 3-year moving averages. Figures cover Great Britain to 2000/01-2003/04 and the United Kingdom from 2002/03-2004/05.

These figures were revised on 28 June 2016 due to a change in the method used to adjust household income figures for inflation. The new method uses the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) in place of the Retail Price Index (RPI). Where this led to a change to the rounded figure this is marked accordingly.
