This information shows the number of rough sleepers in local authority areas. The data is collected to gain a better understanding of the scale and trends in rough sleeping over time to inform local and national policy.The total counts of rough sleepers are single night snapshots. The estimated count is based on data collected over a two week period with assistance from the voluntary sector, faith groups, local businesses/residents, health and substance misuse agencies, and the police.
