Local authorities submit numbers of all persons identified as having a learning disability currently known to the authority and included in a register of records for the purpose of planning or providing services.The register of people with learning disabilities data may be an underestimate of the total number of people with learning disabilities as registration is voluntary.
Data collection and calculation
The data were supplied to the Data Collection team within the Welsh Government by the 22 local authorities in Wales on form SSDA901. The form applies an extensive series of validation checks to ensure that the information provided is accurate and consistent.Frequency of publication
